Once belonging to a general of Napoleon Bonaparte’s army , this vineyard is located in the village of Valréas in the Drôme department. Napoleon’s head is represented on the label in reference to the former owner. Valréas is one of the 20 villages allowed to mention their name of the label thanks to their exceptionnal terroir.Valréas is just north of Vinsobres, its slightly cooler terroir is perfect to grow Syrah. By blending it with the king grape of Southern Rhône Valley, Grenache, we obtain a perfect balance between the spices, the freshness of Syrah and the generosity, and roundness of Grenache.
